English term

submit oneself to a jurisdiction

English to French Law/Patents Law (general) institutions
The context is a first page (credits) of a publication:

"For the avoidance of doubt, by applying this licence the Commonwealth of Learning and UNESCO do not waive any privileges or immunities from claims that they may be entitled to assert,

=> nor do the Commonwealth of Learning and UNESCO submit themselves to the jurisdiction, courts, legal processes or laws of any jurisdiction."

I'm not familiar with such a vocabulary, what does that mean precisely and how would you translate it?
I tried with "ni le Commonwealth of Learning, ni l’UNESCO ne reconnaissent la compétence personnelle d’aucun tribunal, d'aucune cour, procédure ou loi d’une quelconque juridiction", (according to another entry here: https://www.proz.com/kudoz/english_to_french/law_contracts/1... but it seems quite assertive to me, as a complete neophyte regarding legal translation.

Thank you !

neutral Odile Raymond : Se soumettre à la compétence de, pas "à la juridiction" + inconsistent grammar (renoncer à). http://www.clauses-abusives.fr/jurisprudence/arret-du-4-juin...

agree Daryo : that's the right term / way of expressing it, OTOH your proposed translation needs rewording.

ne reconnaissent pas la compétence

I agree with your proposal except for "compétence personnelle", "compétence" is good according to me.

disagree Daryo : there is a not so subtle nuance between "not recognising" some jurisdiction [because you don't fancy it] and "not being submitted to ..." because you are entitled to [on the basis of some international convention, or some other agreement with that State]
