Spanish term

recorrido

Spanish to English Medical Medical: Health Care
This is from an article on perceived risk of pharmaceutical waste in residents' excreta in aged care facilities (the things you learn about as a translator ...)

I know this is, in theory, simple and I hope I'm not wasting your time but I really cannot make up my mind given the rather esoteric nature of the text. I am assuming "route" , especially since it is the word used for type of administration - by mouth, etc. but I am not 100% sure.
