Spanish term

Pecera

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) airport ramo equipment
From an operating manual for the ramo dept. of a Spanish airport:

8. Subloadmasters Pecera (control de carreteros)

So this is the guy who instructs/supervisors the cart handlers. I think the Pecera would be some sort of glass booth? point where he can see everybody? Just guessing here. Any help thankfully accepted!

Fishbowl

There is a glass room in the Natural History Museum in London where fossils are prepped - it's known as the fishbowl. I'm guessing "percera" has to be something similar.

The link is for another one in Los Angeles - seems it's a fairly common nickname. :o)

agree Noni Gilbert Riley : Yes, I sometimes work in an open plan office with two "peceras" for meetings - in this case they have blinds which can be brought down to make them private rooms.
