Spanish term

límite de transición

Spanish to English Other Geography Text from the Canary Islands

The edge of the transition area between the laurel and pine groves ....? Looking for a nice way to word this please.

More examples of meet and merge:
"Unique and magnificent natural areas, where centuries-old pine forests meet the mountains"
"Though this land where boreal forests meet the mountains is ancient.."
"The canopies become more open as the forests merge with the drier regions to the east."
"... where the eastern deciduous forests merge with the prairies and plains of the west."
