Kann mir jemand helfen bei der Übersetzung von "apparent" wild-type population? Es geht um das Wort "apparent", dass ich in diesem Zusammenhang einfach nicht unterbringe. Ich habe es mit "bekannte Wildtyp-Populationen" übersetzt.
Der Satz stammt aus einem Bericht über die mikrobiologische Wirksamkeit eines Antibiotikums, welches in der Veterinärmedizin (Nutztierbereich) verwendet wird.
"Indeed, there was evidence, albeit from a subclinical infection model, that MIC values above those for the apparent wild-type population do not necessarily correlate to a lack of clinical effectiveness of XXX."

Da geht’s um die minimale Hemm-Konzentration (MHK) in Bezug auf Antibiotika. Typischerweise ist dieser MHK-Grenzwert bei den Wildtypen (ohnehin schon) am niedrigsten, daher sagt der Ausgangstext: „……ABOVE those for the APPARENT wildtype population….“ ----- Ich finde es persönlich verständlich, es wäre der Ausgangstext aber wahrscheinlich eindeutiger / korrekter, wenn er wie folgt formuliert wäre:
MIC values above those for the wild-type population, which are apparently (or typically) lower, ……..
Daher würde ich "apparent" hier mit "offensichtlich" im Sinne von "typischerweise" übersetzen.

Hallo Esther, vielen Dank für deine Antwort. Apparent steht meiner Ansicht nach als Adjektiv zu Wildtyp-Population und nicht als adverb, daher meine Verunsicherung. Eine "apparent population" ergibt für mich keinen Sinn. Viele Grüsse, Nicole. |

Einen weniger umschriebenen Begriff konnte ich noch nicht finden, wenn dieser denn existieren sollte.

Dort steht geschrieben: "...to identify apparent wild-type populations—that is, a group of organisms without acquired resistance mechanisms."
Allerdings kann ich im Moment nicht mit einer Übersetzung aushelfen. Aber vielleicht hilft es beim Verständnis etwas weiter?
