Slide=grass slide= porta/objeto de vidrio o cuarzo (uso en microscopios).
El proceso de apareamiento de la láminas de porta/objetos, en microscopia, es de vital una importancia tal pues hay que reducir y prevenir la aparición de errores en el manejo los mismos. Estos errores (entre otros) pueden causar problemas muy graves como, por ejemplo, confundir el resultado de análisis de un paciente y se asigna otro paciente por error.
En las biopsias por microscopio, también se presenta el sign out como la firma del responsable del análisis y reporte (patólogo).

Typically , the slides are also matched to 'tech chart', completed at the time the sections were submitted to ensure that all slides from the case has been completed.
