Adhesive Seal
Wax seals are no longer used, and in their place small red adhesive seals are often used where it is necessary to create a deed.

By the 20th century a small circle of red adhesive paper affixed to the document in question was sufficient when an individual had to use a seal[5] (most commonly on a contract for the sale of land), although the courts also held that a circle containing the letters "L.S." was adequate.[6]

This ancient type of sealing evolved into the modern day Company Seal or Corporate Seal press. A Company Seal has an upper die and lower die which when pressed brings the dies tightly together. This produces a raised embossed imprint - which is used to emboss directly into paper or used with red seals which are self adhesive - reminiscent of the ancient wax impressions. The modern day company seal is easy and quick to use and has prescribed uses in the administration of a company.
