\"Love lives here.\"

FVA Not for points English to French Marketing General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Cultural reference
Tagline that appears on a community sign in a Midwestern American city.

"Love lives here" is meant to make the reader feel welcome, whether that's in someone's home or in a downtown district. When it appears on home decorations (throw pillows, coasters, picture frames, etc.), it's understood to mean "This is a welcoming home," "Everyone is welcome here," etc.

The tagline for this community sign will be printed in various languages, further conveying the idea that everyone is welcome in this city: speakers of any language, adherents to any religion, members of different races, etc.

Of course, a literal translation of "love lives here" may not sound natural, so the translation can be adapted if necessary.

- Vous êtes le bienvenu.
- Vous êtes la bienvenue.
- Vous êtes bienaimé(e).
- Soyez aimablement confortable.
- Vivez avec l'amour.
- Ressentez un peu d'amour.

le rendez-vous du bonheur

As it is meant to welcome diversity into a community, I thought 'rendez-vous' would express the idea of "meeting/coming together" in a place.

It could just as well be 'le rendez-vous de l'amour', but I just thought I would offer a different angle...

neutral AllegroTrans : I cannot see the point of this as it isn't a reference comment; are you the ProZ police force?//No but I am amazed you have the time to tinker like this; have you no translating to do?

no. just a heads up. copywriting is a highly specialised field and this isn't a colleague in distress, it's an agency. are you policing me? /pot calling the kettle black imo. I could ask you the very same question.
