We can also see that in the context of handling bottles, 'lead' probably means 'the distance the conveyor has to advance from one bottle to the next'.

As for these 'set screw', I suspect this is an incorrect use of EN, and what the probably mean is an 'adjusting screw', which is what I suggest you should be seeking to translate here.

You see how even what might appear to YOU to be meaningless context actually can be quite meaningful when shared with people having the right sort of knowledge to interpret it?

There is practically no context... The text is full of mistakes, that's why it is so confusing...
"F4 – 31 Set the intermediate 3 worm
Input worm set to fi the bottle format F4. Format for each part are further set screws, which set the lead."
*fi is probably fit
Basically it describes different screws...

we could try to make a more or less educated guess, but without more context - it's nothing more than guessing! Not really good enough for an instruction manual!
A full sentence - or better a full paragraph - would be a good start ...

I think you may be getting confused between 2 uses of 'set' here; normally, a 'set screw' is some kind of headless screw, often sunken into a tapped hole so there ie nothing protruding, and used e.g. for attaching a pinion to a shaft, or some other similar locking function. Incidentally, it might be used to lock something in an adjustment position.

Then you have the verb 'to set' ("which set the lead"), which here presumably has the sense of 'définir' / 'déterminer' / 'fixer' etc.

And finally, the 'lead' usually refers to how far / fast something moves in a linear direction relative to something else which may be (e.g.) rotating.

It would be a lot easier to explain more accurately if we knew what the equipment was.
