portée de ... en mode sans fil

I think this might be a better way of expressing it?

portée de 700 m [2300 ft] en mode sans fil

for anyone who might not have understood my intention

Personally, for the FR version, I'd be inclined to leave out the feet altogether, as not adding any additional meaning to a FR reader.

I'm assuming, of course, that what they are saying is that our device has a greater range than most others on the market in this field.

I take Robin's point about adding 'mode', lest it should lead to an implication that any other mode was also possible.
However, I do favour the inclusion of the term 'sans-fil', but can't help feeling that using it on its own (as Asker originally proposed) doesn't really work in FR in quite the same way as it does in EN.

Maybe one could add some other word like 'communication sans fil'?

BTW, I don't believe this is 'official' Wifi — that range sounds too great for it to be Wi-Fi, at least according to the normal standards.

If not, then simply fall back on 'portée de 700 m [2300 ft] en sans fil'?

Si, justement ! "700m/2300ft"

neutral Jennifer Levey : Over-translation. 'mode' implies there are at least two ways the thing can operate. There's nothing in the ST, as quoted, to suggest that the system has any 'mode' other than wifi (wired or optical for example).

I don't entirely agree, Robin: I don't think 'mode' implies that at all — but it could be left out; it's just that we can't say 'en sans-fil' in FR the way we can in EN — it needs something to help it along.

portée radio

I interpret the ST "Industry Leading Wireless Range of 700m/2300ft" as meaning:

"of all the systems of this type on the market, *this* one is the best (industry leader) in terms of radio range"

where "this type" refers to "all wifi-controlled systems for... " (whatever the function is - maybe tele-control of a tower crane, for example).

If I'm right, then Tony's "en mode sans fil" doesn't fit, because these systems probably don't have any other 'mode' other than 'sans fil', so there will be no "mode" option to consider.

La portée radio de la centrale d'alarme sans fil, des télécommandes et des détecteurs sans fil Domega est optimale pour sécuriser une maison individuelle.

agree Tony M : Yes, though it's a pity to lose the 'sans-fil', which is still something of a buzzword over here.
