promesse de vente et option d'achat d'actions
Bien que le plus souvent traduite par "option de vente et d'achat", à mon avis, il convient de distinguer le sens du terme "option" dans le contexte d'une convention de ce type. Car, d'un côté, le terme "call option" connote la reconnaissance d'un droit d'acquisition d'actions à un prix plafonné pendant une période prédéfinie, alors que de l'autre, le terme "put option" équivaut à une promesse de vente d'actions, si certaines conditions de conjoncture de cotation précisées dans la convention sont réunies pendant une période également prédéfinie. C'est la raison pour laquelle, certains traducteurs avertis traduisent le terme "put option" par "promesse de vente ". Par exemple :
