English term

Big Loser

English to French Art/Literary Architecture General
Sentence: I have come to understand that most urban planners and architects in this part of the world are big losers with no interest in the architecture as an art in the first place. The writer is hinting to the fact that architecture is a noble area of knowledge and not anyone can be an architect just after pursuing some years in faculty. So here, according to the context, knowledgeable people could be big losers. Maybe "Rate" is not appropriate

gros nuls

Note from asker:
Merci beaucoup pour votre contribution M. Fourcot, apologies for the delay in answering. I will consider your rendering as well. Thanks for your contribution again.
