“Single-Bite” Versus “Double-Bite” Biopsy Specimens: Is There a Difference?
Background: Many gastroenterologists currently take endoscopic biopsies using the double-bite technique, in which two biopsy specimens are obtained during a single pass of the forceps. We hypothesized that the overall quality of biopsy specimens from the double-bite technique is inferior compared to specimens obtained from a single-bite technique. Methods: The study was prospective and partially blinded. Endoscopic biopsies were taken using each technique. „Tehnike polipektomije

- Polipi manji od 5 mm u promjeru mogu se kompletno odstraniti s nekoliko
„ugrizaka“ forceps-sondom za biopsiju, a osnova polipa se zatim koagulira. Alternativna metoda je da se koristi sonda za „hot biopsy“ za potpuno odstranjenje polipa, uz koagulaciju.
