In the manual integration you have a big influence on the behavior of the baseline.
You can generate different background definition and therefore define the calculation. Usually the
baseline goes straight from one start point “B” to the end point 'B' (“B” stands for baseline touch).

To mirror the curve ` Mirror the curve across the y-axis (Transform menu: Mirror). Use End object snap and Ortho so the ends of the curve touch each other exactly.

Тут важно правильно назвать “baseline”.
Здесь это – пороговая/исходная/базисная линия (или прямая).
Ее нельзя называть опорной, т.к. “опорная линия (прямая)” – это о другом, см. https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Опорная_прямая#.D0.A1.D0.B2.D0...
По сути это прямая линия, ограничивающая (снизу) область рассматриваемых значений.
Т.о. “baseline touch” – точка пересечения функции (здесь хрономограммы) с базисной линией или ее граничное/пороговое значение в рассматриваемой области.
Это подтверждают определения на стр. 12 и 14 описания:
