And if the ***distributors do well as a by-product***, the company should do well.
I think our responsibility is to provide the tools for the people to go out and earn a living and build their dream.

Utiliser le terme "sous-produits" me dérange, car la connotation est négative, mais je ne vois pas quel terme pourrait le remplacer.

Discussion
The main characteristic of a "by-product" is that it is the secondary result of making some main product, so anything along the lines of "welcome secondary effect" "positive collateral effect" "comme retombé" "as a consequence ..." would be fine.

So we're really talking about a 'retombé' — to be honest, the use of 'by-product' is a bit questionable in the EN; I think something like 'spin-off' would have been much more appropriate!
Perhaps an 'à-côté'?
