Spanish term

DESPLAZAMIENTO DE CABALLETES

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) Air conditioning and intruder alarm unit
I'm unable to give a complete sentence as context, as it appears in a table listing the specifications of various products (air conditioning and/or intruder alarms)

Under 'programacion', where most of the products' entries say 'digital', this one says 'mediante desplazamiento de caballetes'

Thank you

Discussion

Andrew Bramhall Dec 14, 2015:
Is it the board or plate something is attached to? Caballete means something like an easel or a board of some kind; lever is usually 'palanca' Phil!
philgoddard Dec 14, 2015:
Can you tell us the name of the product? Or, if not, have you looked up the product yourself?
I'm wondering whether it could mean levers like on a timer switch.

moving the slide pointers

"Caballete" can also be a sawhorse (UK - trestle). Some of the older timers were set with with a small slide having a sawhorse shaped pointer. The pointer would be moved (slid) over the edge of a metal disc marked with the hours/minutes and set in place by tightening a small screw attached to the pointer.
