Bad writing indeed Sarjaan/linjaan kytketty are both terrible words to use with this sentence, but only possibilities, which i would use with that context. Either go back to the client and ask them to rephrase or draw what they mean or just pick one and go with it. Also, forgive my obvious spelling mistake, writing from a mobile phone is sometimes tricky .

Bad writing It's still not clear what they mean. Linjassa would be the only alternative I could think of in this context, but it doesn't sound right even so.

Misspelling? In the end, I had to ask the client, who replied "'online' means a manufacturing line." So I would infer from that that it's simply a case of misspelling/bad writing, and it should read 'on line'. Still, it remains a badly formulated sentence.
