Hola a todos:

Copio la primera frase de una receta para un pastel.

In a saucepan, boil the milk, salt, sugar and butter. Remove from the stove, add the sifted flour and dry it up.

La duda está en "dry it up". ¿alguien sabe qué quiere decir en este contexto?

Se refiere a añadir la harina a la mezcla hasta que se absorba todo el líquido, de modo que la mezcla no fluya.

disagree Neil Ashby : That would be "leave it to stand" or even "settle", and in fact leaving something to stand does not result in a homogeneous mass, but in fact the opposite, it allows separation to occur. Mixing makes things homogeneous.
