Cylinder head tie rod - Securing device of cylinder head tie rod

The cylinder head tie rods of your engine, are tightened hydraulically according to the manual. During operation the tie rods are dynamically stressed by each engine cycle. This stress is foreseen and calculated. The tie rods have been designed to sustain the dynamic loading during operation and the stresses associated with loosening and tightening cycles and the resulting elongation of a fully tightened tie rod.
