pointing

At last! an easy one! This, according to the Multilingual Dictionary of Architecture and Building Terms is pointing, and it turns out that pointing is a mixture of the other two answers.

1. raking out brickwork joints 20 mm deep, then filling the hole with a pointing mortar, usually coloured, which is pushed in off a fat board...
2. thin infilling at the face of a joint with sealant, mortar, grout, etc., such as the grouting of wall and floor tiles, the insertion or mortar under the edges of roof ridge tiles, etc.

slightly edited info taken from the building dictionary.

P.S. I guess jointing is also possible (also in diccionario de arquitectura, construcción y obras públicas, where it also has pointing)

Just found another article, which suggests \"grout\" might be better. It has the English with Spanish,French and German translations.

Also, I\'ve just found the answer in the Proz glossaries. It is grout or grouting.
