Discussion

Adar Brauner Dec 21, 2014:
contest: כופר or מערער?; deny-contest a charge? No Gad; in this case, you use כופר; to contest a charge, or a claim, or an allegation-accusation, you always says כופר, which is with no doubt the most suited term and word, rather than מערער;
deny, or contest a charge, have the exact same meaning; in Ivrit, is לכפור;

לכפור = deny
לערער = contest

My legal dictionary has: לכפור בהאשמה = deny the charge, plead not guilty.
Plead not guilty can also be a possibility here, right?
Note from asker:
Thanks so much to all my colleagues here.

agree Jaime Blank : maybe "טענות" is better than "האשמות"
