English term
according to the invention
English to Russian
Law/Patents
Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng
patent
What is the proper way of rendering this in Russian. Could the word "proposed" as in алкилирование предлагаемого соединения be rendered according to the invention as in Новые соединения, предлагаемые в соответствии с изобретением?
The word предлагаемый is a bit of an irritant here.

Выдвигаемые согласно изобретению
I have finally understand what is the question:)
The right translation of proposed is "предлагаемые", but it is really strange to say "предлагаемые в соответствии с изобретением". More likely seems the variant: "выдвигаемые согласно изобретению", but if it is possible - try to use another word instead of "proposed". Invention it is when something is already done, and "proposed" as "предлагаемые" is really not quite right.

New compounds presented according to the invention - hm, looks good. Better than "proposed". But if you will write "proposed", it can be understanded as "выдвигаемые" and it means nearly the same as "представленные" (presented)

Note from asker:
Okay, so it is unusual in your estimation. I'm actually translating this phrase to English from Russian, so I am not the one inventing it, and wondered if it was unusual and could be rendered with "according to the invention," which occurs in a similar document. I guess, it could also be rendered in English by simply "present." Any further thoughts on this? Tx. |
Allright, I meant rather the "present compounds," for predlagaemei soedinenie it does not say actually "according to the invention in most cases, only in one did I see that, i.e., proposed compounds according to the invention. |
