Joanna Carroll Aug 10, 2014:
ooh, I've many bad traits but exhibitionism isn't one of them. It's between me and Sigmund's couch ;)
Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. Aug 10, 2014:
illness, communism, broken heart: I am listening.
Joanna Carroll Aug 10, 2014:
In my line of work I've come across a few people with these kinds of delusions and, when not in the full swing of an episode, they'll be the first to make light of their afflictions. Laughter after all is the best cure for almost anything - illness, communism, broken heart :)
Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. Aug 10, 2014:
Just to be sure, as we make light of Martians, we do recognize the seriousness of mental illness. Getting back to the Martians, British Martians hide under beds or in refrigerators (check for missing beer in the morning).
Joanna Carroll Aug 10, 2014:
Are you saying there are guys inside?! Hiding in my closet?! oh, wait a minute, we've not closets in this country. that's a relief...
Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. Aug 10, 2014:
This only works for the guys outside your windows.
Joanna Carroll Aug 10, 2014:
Better plaster my windows with tin foil - nothing deflects harmful beams better...
Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. Aug 10, 2014:
I would not know: either they are discreet or not talking to me any more.
Joanna Carroll Aug 10, 2014:
yes, I thought I detected a strangely familiar thought pattern and wondered how on earth (...er, in space...) did the Martians know me so well!
Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. Aug 10, 2014:
"or being controlled by a beam of thought projected from an alien aircraft directly into one's mind..."

No, Joanna, it wasn't the little funny green men - it was me. I beam as well as the next guy.
