Thanks for the detailed explanation. I picked up the word 'sanwa' through google search, but I did not come across that usage in any of the other articles that I googled. So, I guess "tataki" is the correct reading

maybe flooring material? Yes, I believe as long as you can state clearly that these types of cemented flooring are made from different lineup of soil ingredient, it should be right.
I normally use the word ( たたき or 三和土 ) just to indicate the floor itself in everyday lives, but it seems in the latter word of the extracted sentence in issue "たたきには二和土と三和土とがある",
this 三和土 is more focused on the material of cement rather than how the floor looks or used (because in either material I do not think the usage itself of the flooring has too much difference)
- if it is not referring to the difference of expression itself.

Also, maybe it is just I did not know the usage of reading existed at all, but 三和土 is most frequently read as "Tataki" (indicates floor and cement at the same time with same reading) 、not much usage with "SANWA" and the same for 二和土.
