This is from the clause for Force Majeure in a contract dealing with the supply of dolomite to a company manufacturing it. THe context reads:
"Constituent notamment des cas de force majeure : les grèves, problèmes sociaux graves, accidents, incendie, explosion, inondation, [etc....]. Les Fournisseurs pourront également invoquer comme cas de force majeure les variations imprévues de la qualité des veines géologiques exploitées"
Could this just simply be translated as "geological veins being used" ?

I believe that deposits are mined, not veins
