I'm really not 100% sure of this at all. It is certainly seldomly used in terms of pulses, but is used more regarding other medical matters. Mind you, "homócroto" is rare in the Spanish speaking medical world so...

The dictionary definition:
ho·mo·ge·ne·ous ( P ) Pronunciation Key (hm-jn-s, -jnys)
adj.
Of the same or similar nature or kind: “a tight-knit, homogeneous society” (James Fallows).
Uniform in structure or composition throughout.
Mathematics. Consisting of terms of the same degree or elements of the same dimension.
