Romanian term

dramul de fericire

the bit - the little bit of happiness?

(even) the slightest degree of happiness

This seems to be emphasizing that just that tiny bit of happiness can make such a difference. This would be a way of expressing that idea in English.

Using the word "degree of" is a common way of expressing a measurement in terms of emotion or human quality. Ounce or gram of could possibly be used in English, but would sound rather colloquial and non-standard conversational.

"Degree
...
4. extent, measure, scope, or the like: To what degree will he cooperate?"

"So some of your earlier comments would seem to indicate that you feel that the highest DEGREE OF HAPPINESS must be lasting?"

This might help you understand the idea of "degree" in this sense.

"by degrees
In small stages
(By degrees the country began to question the decisions their leaders were making)."

Example sentence:

"Whenever I would feel even the SLIGHTEST DEGREE OF HAPPINESS, something of the warmth that a family can bring, at that very instant, some invisible instrument of torture would clamp down on my heart."

"If you were able to provide a cure for a man with an incurable terminal disease,...... , would that cause you the SLIGHTEST DEGREE OF HAPPINESS and joy?"

that little extra bit of happiness

I agree that it should be "dramul"

a/the touch/jot of happiness

the grain of happiness

But finding a grain of happiness around us, Is the best way to prevail from it.
http://poetrypoem.com/cgi-bin/index.pl?sitename=drizzleoftho...

“Happiness is a state of mind. It can never be found in the material things about us, in such things as wealth, position or power. Disillusioned and disappointed are they who spend a life-time harvesting and accumulating more wealth than they need, only to discover, too late that all the money in the world won’t buy a grain of happiness.” This is what Abraham Lincoln had to say years ago.
