Okay, can you describe "how we construct this specific type of furniture"? Because, if it changes everything, the key to translate it correctly is to have the correct concept... Es decir "no es eso, sino todo lo contrario"... Maybe "capa de asiento" suggested by Pablo could be on the rails... but it is hard to say without some kind of orientation... or conceptual understanding... I hope you can clarify!

For me Claudia's option was right, but the client has just gave me this explanation:“Seating story is the wording we use to describe how we construct a specific type of furniture". So this changes everyting!

Aquí creo que "story" tiene relación con la primera frase que se refiere a "cuentos" o "historias"
