Italian term

utenza o sorgente

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Automation & Robotics
This is from a manual for "Programmable controllers for single - and two-circuits chillers-heat pumps."

This term appears in brackets as (utenza oppure sorgente) and (utenza o sorgente) a few times throughout this document. I am guessing the translation is (user or source) but this does not seem to make sense to me in context, or perhaps there is a more specialized term in English. Below are two examples in the source document of how it is used, where I have been able to translate everything but the term in question:

On a different page, a description of what different lights mean:

Significato LED:

Thank you!

I am actually only doing a partial translation of the document. "Single - and two-circuits chillers-heat pumps" is part of what was already in English, I am guessing from a prior translation. Unfortunately, there is no Italian provided for that term as well as for the other English text provided in the document...

"Single - and two-circuits chillers-heat pumps" isn't very grammatical. What does the Italian say?

sink or source

http://www.cippalippa.it/arbo_dev/resources/files/assets/dow...

o ancora:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_pump
A heat pump is a device that transfers heat energy ***from a heat source to a heat sink*** against a temperature gradient.

Water source heat pumps (WSHP)
Uses flowing water as ***source or sink*** for heat

The term “ground-source heat pump” has become an all-inclusive term to describe a heat pump system that uses the earth, ground water, or surface water as a ***heat source and/or sink***.
