Ciao Gianluca. Forse si potrebbe utilizzare anche "fauna stercoraria" o "specie stercorarie", ma sono termini meno diffusi, anche perché, generalmente, l'aggettivo "stercorario" è associato allo scarabeo.

: un'occhiata veloce in rete e ho notato che il termine coprofago si usa per tutti gli animali con tali abitudini, anche i cani che ne sono "malati", mentre il termine stercorario è riferito esclusivamente al piccolo amico scarabeo

Grazie per il commento. Da una ricerca più approfondita sembra anche a me che coprofago sia il termine più adatto, mentre inizialmente l'avevo associato più che altro alla malattia.
