Indonesian term

betul dikremasi

Non-PRO Indonesian to English Medical Medical (general)
This is on a sertifikat medis penyebab kematian:

Status Jenazah:
1) Belum dimakamkan/Betul dikremasi
2) Telah dimakamkan/Telah dikremasi

What is the meaning of "betul" here?

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Before cremation

It looks like a typing error to me. The sentence before and after is compared.

1. Belum dimakamkan - Betul/dikremasi - Before funeral/Before cremation
2. Telah dimakamkan - Telah/dikremasi - After funeral/ After cremation

Suggestion from Ian Forbes - not yet cremated. Thanks to Tony and Ian
Tony corrected the typing error 'Betul' - 'Belum'
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony Bennjamin : saya rasa itu adalah typo dari "belum". Jika dilihat dari kalimat berikutnya

Yang sebetulnya sebelum. Terima kasih Tony :)
neutral Ian Forbes : Agree with Tony's explanation, in which case it might be better to say "not yet cremated" along with a translator's note.

Yes it could be. Belum dikremasi /haven't been cremated. Thanks Iam :)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Terima kasih untuk bantuannya. In fact, I was also wondering if this could be a typo but this being on an official formular made me rather hesitant... "

confirmed cremated

"Betul" is actually another (informal) expression of "benar-benar" which gives emphasis. The closest formal emphasis is "confirmed" indicating that the cremation really has been carried out.
Never saw such letter before so it's my best guess.
