Recommends that the EIB continue to establish more clearly the criteria for the final destination of its global loans, and calls on the EIB to establish a transparent procedure to check and evaluate the way in which they are used by the intermediary banks, particularly with a view to checking that the ultimate beneficiaries do in fact benefit from the advantageous nature of loans provided by the EIB; is of the opinion that the EIB should play an active role in monitoring and, where necessary, improving the promotion and granting of global loans europarl.europa.eu
