I realize this term is pretty specialized in English, but a cover flat is a reproduction of a book's front and back covers (with art, UPC code, and so on), presented in side-by-side, one-page format. | Thank you for this, but I should have been clearer that cover flats are not actually designed to be put around a book. It is a reproduction of a cover, printed in small quantities for the author or publicists, and not meant to be folded. This is an obscure thing, so don't spend too much time researching it. | As I see it, a camisa de forro is the actual sleeve/paper cover of a hardback book. A cover flat could be a reproduction of the front and back cover and spine of a softcover book, as if they were all flattened out on one page. |
