Les personnes qui trouvent du travail le doivent souvent à des CDD.
Pour beaucoup peut, à mon avis, s'interpréter de deux façons :
-- pour beaucoup [de gens qui trouvent du travail] ;
-- dans une grande proportion ou dans une large mesure.
Les deux interprétations ont le même sens.
