Spanish term

recensura (Peru)

Spanish to English Science Archaeology protection of historical sites
"La solicitud debe ser admitida como un paso para la recensura del area protegida, y cualquier obra debe ser posterior a la oficializacion de la recensura mediante una resolucion."

There is no indication of what the "solicitud" refers to, but the area in question is a neglected area with some archeological remains, near an area of urban expansion, which archeologists are trying to protect.

"recensura" > "relisting"; and "solicitud" seems to be "application".

reclassification

It seems they are trying to reclassify the land. After being an abandoned area, they want to make it a protected one.

Reclassification Process

The project is in the process of reviewing the current Protected Areas System in Zambia. Some PA categories will be adapted and new ones created through a participatory process that involves national stakeholders of appropriate government agencies, local community representatives, civil society organisation and the private sector.

At the two Demonstration Sites some PA category adaptations and new categories are tested (note that not all adapted or new categories will be tested). Experiences from these pilot sites will reflect in the final PA system plan and national legislation.

Proposed PA Categories to complement the current Protected Area System:

According to reports in today's media, the municipality of Arroyomolinos (Madrid Autonomous Community, Spain) has decided to reclassify 154 hectares of land within its boundaries for the construction of 3700 houses, despite the Regional Government's Ministry for the Environment having stated that, given that the land is adjacent to the Curso Medio del Río Guadarrama regional park, it should be incorporated into the park so as to ‘ensure the protection of the regional park beside which it lies’.

Council has identified a number of properties that it considers should be reclassified from ‘community’ land to ‘operational’ land to ensure they can continue to be used and managed for the purpose for which they were acquired or to enable the lease or disposal (sale) of the land. Currently Council has not identified any of the properties for disposal. A number of the reclassifications have come about due to administrative processes not being carried out when the land was acquired.

CAMPAIGNERS who are trying to have a patch of woodland reclassified as a village green to protect it from developers say it would be 'a tragedy' if it was ever built on.

Jackie Edington and Robert Leschhorn of South Park Drive, Gerrards Cross are fighting to get a 19-acre patch of woodland between their homes and the A413 reclassified as woodland by Bucks County Council to stop potential developers building homes on it.
