Non-PRO Spanish to English Other Other Onomatopeia
Here's one which may be staring-you-in-the-face obvious, but I can't find it.

Any comic fans out there who can tell me what the sound would be for slitting your throat? Of the bang, whoosh variety.

A character in a light opera suggests that someone is going to do this to him.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

I'm putting non-PRO.

Noni Gilbert Riley (asker) Mar 10, 2013:
Phil Quite true.

I suppose video games might have been more the spot.
philgoddard Mar 10, 2013:
Noni Good point. I don't know about filters, but although the context is art/literary/entertainment, the word itself isn't.
James A. Walsh Mar 10, 2013:
@Noni As far as I know there's not. Check this G-search out: http://tinyurl.com/ara6xqo
Noni Gilbert Riley (asker) Mar 10, 2013:
Thanks Phil I was wondering how appropriate the field was - but am always wary of "Other" because I wonder how many people filter with it....
Noni Gilbert Riley (asker) Mar 10, 2013:
Text and stage directions (libretto) Haciendo ademán de herirse en el cuello.

"Ras"

"Ras, que me hace trizas"
Noni Gilbert Riley (asker) Mar 10, 2013:
@James Post it!

Is there anything that distinguishes this from the slashing of a sabre type sword instead of a dagger. Just out of interest - I'm not being fussy, because, with the stage direction, this is completely clear.
philgoddard Mar 10, 2013:
Could we have the whole sentence please? Is it a libretto, a plot summary, or what?
