Hospital clinic records
Patient is being seen in foot clinic for follow-up. Admission has been in the context of wound infection following vascular surgery to a diabetic foot. Since discharge from hospital, he has bowel complaints as a consequence of the administration of antibiotics and visited a local Emergency Department the previous day. The present notes are from the hospital where he has had his surgery. The conclusion on the clinic notes says:
darmklachten tgv antibiotica
TCC nog sufficient
Beleid: i.o.m. [naam consulent] stop clindamycine
Am stumped by TCC. Unable to track any abbreviation in either Dutch or English which is relevant to this context. (The patient does not have Transitional Cell Carcinoma). All help appreciated.

Note from asker:
Thank you, Liesbeth, for your prompt and correct reply. This term actually appeared in full in the clinical notes some 25 pages further on in the job but was abbreviated on at least a dozen occasions before I reached that point. Your help enabled me to get on with the job for which many thanks! |
I have left it for you to make the Glossary entry and earn the Browniz. |
