Si je comprend bien, il s'agit d'une pièce automobile? Effectivement, plus de contexte serait peut-être de mise.

Context? It all depends on what this object actually is? I was thinking of a document sleeve into which other sheets might be inserted, which would probably be a 'chemise' — but then it oddly mentions 'side', so is this perhaps some kind of 3-dimensional sleev that fits over something, like a 'manchette'? I think if you do'nt already have the information, you'll need to check with your customer, to avoid the risk of a translation error, in view of the potential ambiguity.

agree Tony M : That's what I was thinking too; but that 'side' worries me a bit... ? If we have 'front', 'back', and 'side', it doesn't sound much like a 'spine' to me :-(

thanks - 3-part sleeve, so you end up with a narrow "back", like a book?
