Spanish term

encruamiento

Spanish to English Medical Mathematics & Statistics graficos

Gracias

Charles Davis Dec 4, 2012:
And consider this (from the article): "«región de encruamiento», que representa la alteración del estándar de resistencia del material, resultante de la «fractura» de sus componentes una vez deformado a frío".

Portuguese The authors are all Brazilian; at least, they work in Sao Paulo. They must be using encruamento in its Portuguese sense. See Liz's comments.
Mauro Monteverdi (asker) Dec 4, 2012:
This is the document, and it has to do with protheses.

Is your text from Catalonia? In Catalán, 'encreuament' means 'encruzamiento'. Many people in Catalonia mix Catalán and Spanish when they speak.
Mauro Monteverdi (asker) Dec 4, 2012:

crossover

It looks like a typo for encruzamiento

In response to asker: Oh dear, because I did see the other translations referred to in the comments, but this is the only solution I saw in the context of graphs. And crossover region seems to be a perfectly common term in graphs. But, it would certainly be strange for the same typo to appear consistently.
Note from asker:
I know right? But then the typo is repeated all throughout the text. That's why I was not dure whether it was a typo or no.

Non-linear, won't regain original shape.
