Portuguese term

C.M.

Portuguese to English Other Education / Pedagogy Brazilian diploma from a vocational school/college
Follows after name of student, and indicates some kind of ID number, as it is followed by a 7-digit number followed by a dash and then a final digit.
It's a so-called certificate of completion. Wonder if that is different from a diploma - I guess that would be my next question.

enrollment certification number You may be right, but can we confirm as a first order of business what the letters stand for exactly in Portuguese. I don't think that was settled yet.
cynthia07 Oct 6, 2012:
then Pedro II , my daughter`s school is completely out of date... or ebven crazy!
Viviane Matowanyika Oct 6, 2012:
not a number, I meant to say a name.
cynthia07 Oct 6, 2012:
but today, I can see from my daughter, the number is that of the so called "carteira de estudante"that does not match the one of enrolment
Viviane Matowanyika Oct 6, 2012:
It can be, but I think it is a number that varies. In my university, for example, it was R.M. - Registro de Matricula.
But still not sure if it is the same thing.
Yngve Roennike (asker) Oct 6, 2012:
Was issued about five years ago.
cynthia07 Oct 6, 2012:
I thought of "certificado de matrícula"but I have no idea when this was written `cause it seems it was used in the past but not nowadays
Yngve Roennike (asker) Oct 6, 2012:
Yes to all. Maybe a Certificado de Matrícula?
I should also say that it is Brazilian Porgutuese.
Viviane Matowanyika Oct 6, 2012:
Is it in Portuguese?
Can it be a student ID?
Something related to his/her "matricula"?

I've seen many places calling it Certificado de Matricula (CM), but it was different places.
Like at ANAC's website http://www2.anac.gov.br/rab/perguntas/perguntas.asp
...Os Certificados de matrícula (CM)..
However, as I said before I believe it can change from place to place.
Note from asker:
Yes, that was my first thought. I just can't make up my mind until I know exactly what this abbreviation signifies exactly, how it expands literally.
