“The Hi-Hat Foot” begins with the usual background on the author as well as some very apt advice on practice routines and developing as a player. Then it introduces a theme for the book, something called ‘Rhythments’. These are your “base patterns” and arranged into three categories:
1 – Snare patterns over a simple bass drum ostinato.
2 - Bass drum patterns with a simple snare ostinato.
3 - Combinations of both snare and bass drum patterns.
Having mastered each individual “Rhythment” you add one of the hi-hat ostinato patterns on the left foot.
Как бы это по-русски половчее обозвать?
(Речь идет об учебном пособии для барабанщиков).
