Spanish term
a cuya competencia se somete a efectos de la imposición
Spanish to English
Law/Patents
Law: Contract(s)
This is a contract and they are talking about imposing the penalties established in the contract on the contracting party. I am finding a lot of different translations for the word competencia and I am also having trouble with the sentence as a whole as well.

Sometimes "competencia" means jurisdiction, but not here. Very often, in my experience, it means "one's business"!
