Dutch term

Subgunningscriteria

Dutch to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Hi,

I can't find this word in a dictionary although I can find plenty of uses of it on the internet.
I can figure out more or less what it means (my first attempt would be sub-authorisation criteria) but I was wondering whether there was an established term in existence as a translation for this word.
The context is a document setting out guidelines for bids and it is in a title, the full text of which is: Voorafgaand aan de beoordeling van dit technische **subgunningscriterium**
Help!
Thanks

Discussion

Michael Beijer Apr 23, 2017:
tenderned and PIANOo (Expertisecentrum Aanbesteden van het ministerie van Economische Zaken) use both:

"award sub-criteria"

"sub award criteria" / "sub-award criteria"

You're welcome Marie-Helene!

Hi Michael Beijer Yes I did. Thanks!
Michael Beijer Jul 30, 2012:
@Marie-Helene Did you finally decide to go with 'award sub-criteria'?
Marie-Helene Dubois (asker) Jul 19, 2012:
I had the same thoughts Brian Crumpler It is the criteria that the sub relates to, not the award. At least, that is my understanding, having read the heading over and over again.
You have now given me the inspiration to look that up and it is backed up by this site:
www.govopps.co.uk/disclosure-of-sub-criteria-a.
as well as this one:
www.bevanbrittan.com/.../mmo transparency.

So I really think Brian's suggestion is the one I'm going to go for...
Thanks!!!

award sub-criteria

I agree with Bryan.

See e.g.:

'The award sub-criteria and relevant weightings of each sub-criterion are as detailed in Section 3.3 of this ITT.' (http://www.scotcourts.gov.uk/opinions/2012CSOH75.html )

'The appellant now appeals on the grounds that the learned Judge erred in finding that appellant had failed to disclose 39 award sub-criteria and their weighting and that he was not barred by the 2006 Regulations from ordering the Framework Agreement to be set aside.' (http://www.courtsni.gov.uk/en-GB/Judicial Decisions/Publishe...[2011]%20NICA%2060/MOR8310.html )

'In short, there now appears to be an argument that a lesser standard of disclosure applies to advance disclosure of award sub-criteria than award criteria.' (http://www.govopps.co.uk/disclosure-of-sub-criteria-and-rela... )

Example sentence:

In short, there now appears to be an argument that a lesser standard of disclosure applies to advance disclosure of award sub-criteria than award criteria.

sub award criteria

I am sure this is a standard term?

neutral Bryan Crumpler : the semantics and word order is ambigous here. Should be the "award sub-criteria". It's not a subaward... it's a subcriterion (i.e. part of the MEAT) for determining who will ultimately be award[ed] the tender

neutral Danielle Boelema : I found some examples on the Internet in which this term was used, but always spelled with a hyphen between 'sub' and 'award' (as a sub-category of award criteria). I believe that it is more common to just use 'sub-criteria' when the context is clear.

agree Michael Beijer : interesting how this ref opts for "sub-award criteria" (rather than "award sub-criteria")
