Spanish to English Other Archaeology Stone tools / lithic reduction methods

This is for a comparison of two different flintknapping methods: talla centrípeta (see separate Kudos question) & talla laminar. It's from a booklet for an exhibition on milestones in the evolution of mankind, from the brief chapter on tool-making:

"El Homo neanderthalensis empezó a desarrollar utensilios de pequeño formato. La talla centrípeta permite conseguir herramientas especializadas: formas apuntadas, denticuladas, buriles, muescas, raederas. Con ellas, los homínidos empe-zaron a transformar el entorno. Muchas de las herramientas actuales son evoluciones, en otros materiales, de estas primitivas herramientas.

El cuarto estadio tecnológico supuso un cambio de técnica de talla, de centrípeta a ***laminar***. El objectivo era conseguir una matriz de piedra que proporcionase muchas lascas afiladas y cortantes."

And later, in the brief glossary provided:

"Talla centrípeta: técnica de talla consistente en golpear el borde de un bloque de piedra para que la extracción de lascas tienda a coincidir con el centro del mismo.
***Talla laminar***: técnica de talla en la que se percute el bloque para obtener lascas alargadas. Unifacial: útil tallado por una sola cara."

So I'm looking for English translations of these two methods (rather than techniques, I think). As far as I can tell, both are types of percussion flaking (rather than pressure flaking), both are reductive, both can produce multiple flakes (although the "laminar" method may more often provide longer flakes, or blades). The "cuarto estadio tecnológico" most probably refers to Mode 4 tools, from the Aurignacian culture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurignacian).

So far I have come with either "centripetal flaking" or "radial flaking" to describe the first method (see separate question), but of course the problem lies in finding a second term that can be correctly compared with it. I can't find any English reference material that makes any useful distinction between the two methods. They both seem to do pretty much the same thing. But I can't omit this second term or use some descriptive term because a definite distinction is drawn between the two, both in the main text and the glossary.
