I've seen the Argentine slang term "cagar a pedos", meaning to rip somebody a new one or ream somebody out. Can anyone tell me what «matar a pedos» would mean to a (Southern) Mexican? Context is a young drunk confronting some soldiers in the street after they've just invaded his town. He screams defiantly in their faces:
«¡Mátenme a pedos, hijos de su puta madre!»
Here in the states, a black English version would be something like, «KILL me, motha FUCKERS!"
Is this guy literally saying, "[go ahead and] fucking KILL me [then], sons of bitches"?

Of course, "a pedos" would normally be precisely what Oliver has suggested (i.e., with farts, as in "a besos"), but here, I'd prefer something that refers to his state of drunken stupor (with the "farts" remaining, or lingering, in the subtext). :-)

In chatting with a former student of mine in Oaxaca (who was not 100% sure of its precise meaning, though did think that it could also mean "tener sexo"), I was told that it comes off as vulgar, which makes perfect sense in this context, especially considering what follows (i.e., "hijos de..."). Thus, another option may indeed be what you've suggested at the end of your post, i.e., [expletive] kill me [then].
