Spanish term

esfuerzos de tesorería

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Any ideas is appreciated.

Esto es parte de la naturaleza de las operaciones entre sociedades controladas y controladas en el concurso ordinario, pues es normal que las sociedades controladas acudan con sus controladoras para obtener apoyos financieros o económicos del grupo empresarial al que pertenecen más aún, que la controladora centralice **esfuerzos de tesorería**, y utilice sinergias de las empresas que controla, para este efecto de mejorar el perfil financiero del grupo de empresas al que pertenecen en su conjunto.

Thanks!

Phil Thank you Phil, maybe the problem was in "esfuerzos" but no need to use "efforts" in english
philgoddard Apr 30, 2012:
Emiliano Your suggestion gets my vote if you want to post it as an answer. "Treasury management" is another possibility. We've had tesorería several times before.
Bernadet Apr 30, 2012:
Sometimes "tesorería" simply refers to cash flow. Might that not be the case here?
Emiliano Pantoja Apr 30, 2012:
Maybe you can use "through a centralised treasury system or process"

If you talk about a "system" it means you have a scheduled plan for treasury. By using simply "operations" you don't have this sense
Note from asker:
I'm thinking of going with "treasury operations". What do you think. Anyway, I only arrived at this possibility thanks to your help. Cheers!

Spanish term (edited): esfuerzos de tesorería

asset management

This is a pretty standard term I've translated quite a few times like this.

From Oxford Spanish:

tesorería femenino

1 (oficina) treasury

2 (Finanzas) (activo disponible) liquid assets (plural)
____________________

No need for "liquid".

Hope this helps :)

Example sentence:

“...even more so, that the controller centralizes asset management, and uses...”

“…más aún, que la controladora centralice esfuerzos de tesorería, y utilice sinergias...”

Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : I don't agree that there's no need for " liquid".
