Spanish term
procedimiento de estudio que no se hubiera realizado
Spanish to English
Medical
Medical: Pharmaceuticals
Drug trial / Consent form
This is a back translation of a Consent document for the trial of a drug.
Si usted experimenta una lesión de investigación, se le brindará tratamiento médico sin ningún costo para usted. Una lesión de investigación es cualquier lesión física, enfermedad o discapacidad causada por:
1. Administración del medicamento de estudio; o
2. Cualquier procedimiento de estudio que no se hubiera realizado, pero fue requerido por su inclusión en el estudio
I'm not sure what they want to say with this last phrase.
Thanks

: This is the most faithful translation of the Spanish, which is what is needed in a back translation, although (as Charles pointed out) it's a very, very poor translation of the original in English.

Study procedure that would have not taken place
Creo que ellos quieren decir que, en caso de que la persona sufra un daño a causa de que no obtuvieron cierto procedimiento (aunque requerido), ellos le darán tratamiento. En realidad, eso está un poco confuso pero bueno, espero que pude ayudar en algo.

(procedure ...) due to your participation in the study
The Spanish is very awkward, but I''m confident this is what is meant.

Maybe the original was something like this...
"If you experience a research injury, emergency medical treatment will be provided at no cost to you. A research injury is any physical injury or illness caused by (1) administration of the Pfizer study medicine or (2) any study procedure that would not have occurred but for your inclusion in the study"

"What Is A Subject Injury?
An illness or injury that is a direct result of the treatment, or procedures required by the protocol, to which the subject would not have been exposed had they not participated in the clinical trial."

This, or something like this, is what you would expect it to say, I think. But back translations are very often like this, I find. It's alarming! Thanks :)

Discussion
In my humble opinion, what it is being said more or less is this: Enfermedad o discapacidad causada por cualquier procedimiento (not even sure about this word) de la investigación que solo podría ocurrir debido a su participación en el estudio.
