per la traduzione di tutta la frase servirebbe un po' più di contesto, ma rich e lean di solito si riferiscono a carburazione grassa o magra (cioè con più o meno carburante nel rapporto aria/carburante)

per la traduzione di tutta la frase servirebbe un po' più di contesto, ma rich e lean di solito si riferiscono a carburazione grassa o magra (cioè con più o meno carburante nel rapporto aria/carburante)

Un po' più di contesto aiuterebbe...
Comunque potrebbe far riferimento alla quantità di ottani nel carburante. In questo caso lean vs rich potrebbe essere tradotta con "più o meno ricca di ottani".

Daniele, credo che quest'altro riferimento ti possa essere ancora più utile per una traduzione definitiva:
Lean and rich refer to the mix of fuel and air. To lean out or richen a nitro RC engine means to adjust the mixture of fuel and air going into the engine. Lean is the addition of more air to the air/fuel mixture. Rich is the addition of more fuel to the air/fuel mixture.
