dumbbell
Description of a type of dumbbell, in the user manual. Another sentence in the manual: Weights can be selected ONLY when the dumbbell is resting in the Dumbbell Base.
I am not sure what the correct Dutch name for such an item is. Verstelbaar, or perhaps aanpasbaar?

instelbaar halterset
Have been looking through fitness shops but haven't found a clear consensus on the naming of such dumbbell. Found "instelbaar halterset", "verstelbaar dumbbell" or even just the name of the product and manufacturer.
Probably both "instelbaar" or "verstelbaar" are good enough.

: 'verstelbare' is volgens mij de meest gangbare term, en gewoon 'halter' lijkt me

Discussion
I think both 'set' or 'halter' are correct depending on how you present or view the product. If you present the dumbbell as a single product then it should indeed be 'halter'. But if you view the dumbbell with its weights, which can be detached, as a product with components then 'set' wouldn't be incorrect.
