colle

French to English Other Wine / Oenology / Viticulture
Usually means glue or paste, but evidently not in this context, where it is applied to caseine and PVPP as used in wine-making: e.g. "la caséine et la PVPP sont les colles les plus performantes contre le brunissement des blancs et des rosés." Possibly "fining agent", though the equivalence (if any) is not obvious?

Can be clarifying or fining agent, several different types can be used, especially in the making of vegetarian wine
